Pair of Beautiful Vintage/Antique Handles

This is a wonderful pair of handles. We are unsure of the metal; we suspect cast iron with remnants of gilding. They have developed a lovely patina over the years.

Due to the length of the attachment bolts, we suspect that the handles were used on a pair of doors. The threads could of course be shortened. 

The approximate width is 17cm.
